Established under an Act of the Sikkim Government (Act No. 14/LD of 2020, passed on 21-09-2020 by the Sikkim Legislative Assembly and notified through Gazette
Notification on 08-10-2020.

The Govt. authorized and approved Marksheets and Certificates, valid for all the Government & Private Jobs.
GOVT. RECOGNITION / EQUIVALENCY
- Open Schools Recognised By CBSE & State Education Boards Shall Be Recognised By NMC For NEET Exam: Supreme Court
- BOSSE has been established under the Act No. 14 of 2020 by Govt. of Sikkim. Ministry of Education(MoE) – Govt. Of India
- Released the List of School Boards in India, BOSSE listed at 44th number in the list.
- AIU has granted equivalency status to BOSSE and recognised BOSSE’s certificates for further studies.
- NIOS has included BOSSE in the list.
- Equivalence to /Recognition Of BOSSE – (COBSE ) Council of Boards of School Education in India.
- DigiLocker has included BOSSE in the List – (DigiLocker) Document Wallet to Empower Citizens, Govt. Of India .
- Equivalence to /Recognition Of BOSSE – National Medical Commission (NMC) , New Delhi- Intimation Regarding JEE
- (Advanced) 2025 Examination Schedule, (IIT Kanpur).
- Equivalence to /Recognition Of BOSSE – Indian Institute Of Management , (IIM Indore).
- Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) has considered BOSSE for admission to various pharmacy courses.
- Indian Nursing Council (INC) has considered BOSSE for admission to various Nursing courses.
- Equivalence / Recognition of BOSSE For Purposes Of Employment In Indian Army

There is no minimum educational qualification for admission to Secondary Programme. A School Leaving Certificate of any class can be attached with the Admission Form OR A Self Certificate certifying that the applicant can read and write (Format of the certificate is given with the Application Form) |
Secondary Examination passed from a recognized National / International / State Board of Secondary Education or Open School Board. Copy of certificate is to be attached with the Admission Form. |

The only eligibility condition for Sr. Secondary is Secondary Pass from a recognized Board. Applicants have to submit a self-attested copy of their Secondary Certificate. |

| Essential Supporting Documents |
Birth Certificate issued by Municipal Authority or District Office of the Registrar of Birth and Death for those born on or after 26.01.1989 OR Passport issued by Govt. of India OR Original Transfer Certificate/School Leaving Certificate showing applicant’s date of birth, issued by the school last attended. In case of Govt. Schools, the certificate signed by the Principal will suffice. For Private Schools, it should also be countersigned by the District Education Officer or other competent authority. OR Aadhaar Card issued by the Govt. of India. Note: Date of birth once given in the Admission Form shall not be changed in normal circumstances. |

No minimum qualification. School Leaving Certificate or Self Certificate (reading & writing).
Sr. Secondary Course:
Secondary Exam passed from a recognized Board. Certificate copy required.

Cut Off: 31st August every year (no late fee)
Secondary Course: Age: 15 by 31st March (No upper age limit)
Sr. Secondary: Must be Secondary Pass with certificate.
